Cardiff City v Posh: The Match Preview
Peterborough United travel to the new Cardiff City stadium on Tuesday evening, buoyed by the 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at the weekend.
The Bluebirds on the other hand will be looking to bounce back after losing 5-1 at table toppers Newcastle United on Friday evening.
TEAM NEWS
Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd's chances of playing are rated at 50/50 after he picked up a knock during the defeat against Newcastle.
The Bluebirds are already without defender Mark Hudson (ankle) and influential midfielders Gavin Rae (hamstring) and Joe Ledley (hip).
Charlie Lee is a fitness doubt after picking up a knock against QPR on Saturday. Josh Simpson and Lee Frecklington are options to replace him if required.Gabriel Zakuani is out with a groin strain, but could feature in the reserves against Colchester United on Wednesday at London Road.
CARDIFF FACTS
Cardiff's loss at Newcastle was their first defeat in nine league and cup games. The Bluebirds have won their last three home matches but have scored nine more league goals away than at home this season.
MANAGER QUOTES
'Cardiff are a very good side and their front two are exceptional at this level, but have done some work on how they are set to line-up and they will be looking to counter our formation. I know Cardiff boss Dave Jones, he was my manager at Stockport and he is a 4-4-2 man,but the wingers will look to tuck in and we will need to make sure we don't allow them to dictate the play,' Gannon said.
BETTING
Remember you can have a flutter on tonight's game by visiting www.theposhbet.com. Posh are 11-2 to win the game, while if you fancy a flutter on the first goal-scorer, George Boyd is 9-1 and Chris Whelpdale is 22-1. It is highly unlikely that there will be a repeat of the 4-4 draw from London Road earlier in the season, but stranger things have happened. It is 300-1 if you do think history might repeat itself.
