Peterborough United travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday and George Boyd believes this is a game his Forest side 'need to win'.

Boyd, who is on-loan at the City Ground from Posh, cannot play due to the terms of the agreement, but insists that he is hoping his current side can claim three points.

'While I want Posh to stay up, Saturday is a game that we need to win to keep up the pressure on West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle.

'It is a game that we have to earmark as one that we need three points from because we are at home and our form is pretty good.

'My three games so far for Forest have been enjoyable, but obviously two defeats on the road has not been ideal. Against Preston, they battered us in the first half and at Barnsley we conceded two really unfortunate goals.

'It is a different kind of pressure when you are the top, we go into every game confident and we need to bounce back from the defeat to Barnsley on Saturday.

'It will be a strange feeling for me watching from the sidelines, but I won't be able to see the Posh lads before the game. I certainly will be catching up with them afterwards and I would love it if the club could avoid the drop.

'I know the lads played well against Doncaster and didn't deserve to lose and if they had managed to get a win, I think the great escape would have definitely been on.

'However, that doesn't mean that we (Forest) will be taking this game lightly because Posh play some very good football and I know that there are some very good players who can hurt us,' Boyd said.
